EXPLORE OUR REGIONS

Explore cradle mountain

Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park is one of Tasmania’s iconic visitor destinations and is a major visitor drawcard to the state. Well before Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair was proclaimed as a protected area in Tasmania, it was the country of the Big River Tribe and the site holds immense cultural significance.

Explore the bay of fires

Lining Tasmania’s north-east coast, the Bay of Fires is that perfect combination of clean white beaches, clear azure seas and granite rocks splashed in orange lichen. Campgrounds sit behind glorious beaches, and there are myriad ways to enjoy or explore the coast: walk, mountain bike, cruise or simply recline on a beach towel.

Explore the wineglass bay

The crystal clear waters and white sandy beach of Wineglass Bay are a tremendous sight. The sunlight for Wineglass Bay Lookout is best at midday. Freycinet National Park and Wineglass Bay are some of Tasmania’s most popular attractions. Wineglass Bay and Freycinet National Park are two spectacular landscapes near Hobart. While Wineglass Bay is an azure-colored, secluded beach, Freycinet National Park is a rugged stretch of coastline with views that rival anything in Australia. Both are must-see destinations in Tasmania.

Explore Mount wellington

The mountain rises to 1,271 metres (4,170 ft) above sea level and is frequently covered by snow, sometimes even in summer, and the lower slopes are thickly forested, but crisscrossed by many walking tracks and a few fire trails. There is also a sealed narrow road to the summit, about 22 kilometres (14 mi) from Hobart central business district.

Explore the cascade Brewery

The Cascade Brewery, Australia's oldest remaining brewery, was established by Peter Degraves in 1832 when Hobart Town's 55 licensed pubs served a population of 10,000 and vast quantities of alcohol were consumed. Government regulation of distilleries boosted Degraves' fledgling industry, and by the 1850s it was a leader among the island's 48 breweries.

Explore river Derwent

River Derwent flows more than 200 kilometers and drops more than 700 meters from its origin in the national park. It is formed by the collision of the Narcissus and Cuvier Rivers at Lake St. Clair and flows with the power of 50 to 140 m³ per second. It pours into a large estuary at the city of Hobart where you can find the deepest sheltered harbour in the Southern Hemisphere.

Explore Wellington park

kunanyi/Mt Wellington provides the backdrop to Hobart and is about a 20 minute drive from the city centre. With a sealed road to the summit and an extensive network of walking tracks and fire trails, there's a range of activities for every visitor – bushwalking, mountain bike riding, orienteering, picnics, barbecues and sightseeing from the many spectacular vantage points.
